Yoder Family Early Childhood Education Center is sponsored by Weld Family Cares and an affiliate of Yoder Family of Companies. We are increasing our breadth by adding childcare to the picture for our employees and to support the community.
Our program will be providing care and education to children 6 weeks – 6 years within 3 classrooms: Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool. While we may not be able to accommodate all our community with the 40 total spaces, we are hoping to support the community at large by opening our doors beyond the businesses of Yoder Family of Companies.
Our enrollment audience includes:
Yoder Family Early Childhood Education Center understands the importance of early brain development and has created a program with resources selected to strengthen and expand children’s growth in 10 main domains of learning. Children learn best through play-based learning with a hands-on approach to activities. By choosing The Creative Curriculum, made by Teaching Strategies in the 1990s, we will be able to not only adhere to best practices but also be able to support children on their individual learning journey. The Creative Curriculum will give our staff the opportunity to meet children where they are in development and provides the appropriate tools to scaffold their learning to the next step.
Our program will align with the Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines and as children develop, we will be utilizing Teaching Strategies Gold assessment tool to show where children fall within standardized spectrums of learning for their age group. This tool will allow staff to show what children’s emerging skills are and allow for them to work alongside their parents with specific activities and direction to get them to the next level of their learning.
We will focus mainly on social emotional development, regulation, and the skills to problem solve. Our children are curious scientists who want to explore the world and by fostering an environment where they can work together to navigate the issues at hand, we will be opening their minds and hearts to growth and the skills to work as a team. We will provide an environment built with emotional validation, labelling their feelings, acknowledging what those emotions look like to themselves and their peers, and working with them to not only solve problems but give them the tools to work proactively to prevent issues from arising.
As your child advances through our programs, you will see changes and growth in all 36 objectives for learning set for children birth to 8 years. These objectives fall into 9 main domains of development including: social-emotional, physical, language, cognitive, literacy, mathematics, science and technology, social studies, and the arts. The 10 domain is English Language Acquisition for children who are also learning English as their second language.
We are excited to work with you and your child during their continuous path of expanding their knowledge and becoming a supported and healthy human.
